Amur Chokecherry Tree - Ming

Hardiness: Zone 2.

Size: Tree up to 25 ft.

Planting: Full sun, good soil. 

Fruit: Tiny black fruit up to 5mm.

Pollination: Self fertile.

Use: Ok for jams or preserves, but generally undesirable fruit. 

Ripening: Late August to mid September.

Pot: 2 gal.

This is purely ornamental cherry tree. Often called a Manchurian cherry or Amur chokecherry. It attracts birds heavily and the small fruit is generally undesirable for eating. It also won't serve as a pollinator for other varieties.
