Red Elderberry Bush - Red Berried Elder

Hardiness: Zone 2.

Size: Bush 12 ft.

Planting: Okay in harsh, depleted or ever moist sites, tolerates part shade well. 

Fruit: Small Red - berries in clusters. 

Pollination: Self pollinating, no companion needed. 

Use: Non Edible - Toxic Berries

Ripening: Early September. 

Pot: Bare rooted with soil ball. - about 2-3ft tall.

These are a native red elderberry or red-berried elder. It has similar spring flower clusters but red toxic berries that are enjoyed by birds and other animals.
